Hi all! Here is a recent baby shower invitation I designed using my calligraphy and some watercolor flowers. The invitation turned out so sweet and dainty and the spring color palette really topped it off.

the dirty details of MELROSE
After posting some beautiful detail images of bathrooms, I decided to snap a few pics of Melrose's dirty details. I was searching for a tray for our master bathroom and finally found this rustic, concrete stone to hold a few items. It fits perfectly on the comode (doesn't that sound better than saying toilet!?) and helps fill the negative space on this side of the bathroom.
Our guest bathroom is much simpler, but I hope to add something else to this area - maybe an antique picture above!? I found these quaint ceramic jars at Scott's Antique Market and this tray at Anthropologie. I love the gold accents! I'll share more full pictures of the bathroom soon ... especially since I painted it Newburg green ...

BOXWOODS
Lately I have become obsessed with potted boxwoods. I just added a pair on the front stoop of Melrose and a pair on either side of our outdoor fireplace - pictures to come - and I love how they turned out. They are easy to maintain, indoors and outdoors, and you can't go wrong with their classic look. I especially love them planted in a square pot to offset the rounded shape or topiary. Here are some of my favorite boxwoods that I have pinned.

SHOWER INVITATION: fiesta stock the bar
Hi all! Here is a recent wedding shower invitation I designed for a friend. It was a stock the bar fiesta style honoring the bride and groom. Very cute idea if you ask me! I used cream, linen paper with kraft envelopes and printed them myself.

BLACK & WHITE STRIPES
Right now I am majorly crushing on black and white stripes - especially in the outdoor scene. I am hoping to snag a few of Pottery Barn's outdoor pillows and cushions for Melrose. Don't these Pottery Barn styled images make you want to prop up your feet with a glass of wine? I love the classic beauty of black and white stripes. Timeless.

Not only have I been eyeing this bold pattern outdoors, but indoors as well. If ya'll remember the inspiration board for my guest room, I am using black and white striped duvets as a focal point in the room. Here are some of my favorite applications of the traditional stripes indoors.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend! Melrose's backyard project is officially complete so I will try to share those pictures asap!
