ROUND MIRRORS

I have this really pretty wooden round mirror I purchased at Scott's last fall and I have not found a home for it yet and it is driving me crazy! I got it for a super awesome deal of $25 and then saw the same mirror in the other building going for $200 - I was pretty impressed. This is my purchase:

I was just flipping through my collected inspiration files and found some good suggestions. Now, I just need a piece of furniture to pair it with!

If mine was bigger ... [vogue via destined to design]

I want a folding bar table so badly! [unknown]

Tiny and petite. [urban grace]

Or a whole wall of mirrors! I think this works very well for a bathroom and the tiny shelving helps keep them aligned. [martha stewart via this is glamorous]

Love the balance of the mirror + lamp. [decor8]

above a mantel ... [lonny mag]

If a folding (or rolling) bar cart comes into my possession in the next bit, I think that will be my choice for my mirror to hang above. Until then, may she rest peacefully under the bed.

AND ...

The new edition of Lonny mag is out! So, take a break and check it out! It is quite delicious.

LEAH DUNCAN GIVEAWAY: on the ardent sparrow

I stumbled upon this amazing giveaway this morning and I wanted to share it with my fellow blog readers. The artist is Leah Duncan and she is a fantastic illustrator. She scans in her pen and ink drawings and colors them digitally to create beautiful patterns for pillows, scarves, and prints. Check out her etsy shop.

I love her throw pillows and can't wait to order her feathers pillow - love the colors and dainty hand drawn illustration! So, if you want to enter in the giveaway for a Leah Duncan item, visit this link. Good luck!

MORE BOOKS

Remember my covered books post? Well, I found this picture today on a blog and thought it was another good alternative to share.

This person just placed all their books spine down so only the page coloration shows. This is an easier way of creating a monotone neutral look without covering each book with paper. I also love how the different heights create a neat variation and the age of the books adds a beautiful brown tone.

WEDDING INVITES: jessica sanford

I am finally getting to share my dear friend Jessica's wedding suite. I couldn't be more happier with the way they turned out. Jessica planned an outdoor, rustic soiree that encompassed a lot of hydrangeas, mason jars, and shades of brilliant blue. I took her theme and ran with it for the suite. We have very similar taste so it was super easy and fun designing for Jessica.

We chose a natural linen paper and paired it with brown kraft envelopes and twine for the programs. For the return address we used a custom stamp to play off of the rustic theme. I love the way they turned out and I think the newlywed Sanford's did too! More invitation suites to come!
